Coming Together: 184th Annual Meeting of the NGRBA
The NGRBA Annual Meeting was August 25, 2025, at the Jamesport Baptist Church with 61 in attendance. There were 11 pastors, 23 messengers and 26 guests. Fourteen churches represented at this year's meeting.
Pastor Ron Helton of Mercer Baptist Church gave the worship message titled “Things Are Changing.” He pointed out how different things are from when we were kids. He showed us several Bible verses that gave us warnings and told us to hold fast to God's Word. We need to get back to the word of God and preach it - teach it - live it.
There were reports from mission groups, NGRBA teams and the annual Memorial Service.
At the end of the meeting, we were treated to an excellent meal organized by the members of Jamesport Baptist Church.

Ron Helton, Pastor of Mercer Baptist Church, brought the annual message and reminded attendees how the knowledge of wisdom is like honey to the soul in the midst of a lost and confused world (Prov. 24:13).
NGRBA Moderator Daniel Pelichowski brought the business portion of the meeting to order and kept the timeline moving smoothly.
NGRBA Clerk Janet Urton enrolled the churches' messengers at the beginning of the business meeting.
Ben King reported from the Missouri Baptist Children's Home and shared on new preventative programs for at-risk children under the age of 5 years old.
Victoria Towobola gave updates on the Deaf Youth Camp and encouraged churches to consider their accessibility to those who are deaf.
Doug Crawford, NGRBA Trustee and Pastor of Union Baptist Church - Coon Creek, presented the association's 2025-2026 budget.
Steve Dennis, NGRBA Chairman of the Local Church Team, shared about two men who are participating in the NGRBA Bible Institute's seminary classes hosted by Ron McPherson, Pastor of Edinburg Baptist Church.
David Parker, current student of the NGRBA Bible Institute, shared his gratitude for time spent with Keith Corrick and Ron McPherson studying the Old Testament.
Maeanne Browning, Chairwoman of the NGRBA Missions Team, reminded everyone of the importance of each church's WMU group in praying for ongoing missions.
Josh Silver, NGRBA/HBA Youth Camp leader, shared about this past summer's camp and encouraged people to help with future camps because the youth and children are our future church.
Keith Corrick, Director of Missions for the NGRBA, shared with attendees upcoming opportunities for evangelism and growth, and celebrated this past year's successes.
Judy Crow, member of Jamesport Baptist Church, treated attendees to beautiful melodies on the piano during the meeting's memorial service honoring members who graduated to Heaven this past year.
